Lessons

I had initially created this blog to record ideas that I had found and my personal interpretations on them. Since I have not had time to do any projects to start the blog, I decided it will just have to serve a second purpose: photos. Partly as a filler, and partly because I'd like to record the memories associated with said pictures as well as how I feel about them now.

My first picture:

This picture was taken in Charlottesville in July 2008. We had gone up for an overnight trip just to get away from Lynchburg. This was slightly less than one month before we got engaged. This was in the downtown area, where the road is brick, and there are a ton of little shops. There was even a man playing guitar for tips! The coolest thing of all: a wall that was put up with chalk beside it so people could add whatever they liked to the wall. (I wrote "I heart Jon") We were dealing with so much in our relationship at the time, and we had no idea what was in store for us; all we knew was that we loved one another in a way we had never felt before, and we were willing to do anything in the world to make it work. We (at least I) had no idea that in we were one month away from being engaged, four months away from being married, and just over four months away from being pregnant! whew. So much, in so little time. We had so much growing up to do. I'm in awe of what we have gone through together and how much we have changed since we met. *Sigh*...It feels like forever ago.

I'm so impressed with the man I love.
I'm also thankful. I'm thankful for the things he has taught me, the chances he continues to give me, the wonderful gift that is sleeping in the next room, and most of all, the love he has never stopped giving.
